You are right,

While talking to keithp he came up with a much better idea,
creating a branch of xserver that uses the XFree86 DDX code,
and then originizing it with the extentions and releasing it.
I think it's a great idea that would be much more helpfull for xserver.
so I think that's the direction I would go.

Another important thing would be to get a community around it,
to get it into distributions to get nvidia and ati compile their drivers
to fit it and so on.

so I'm going to read about the DDX code if anyone got pointer it would be
appriciated:)
