The FAQ has nothing on this problem And if your referring to the end
of the install guide. I use that, and the xserver starts fine, but
nothing can connect to it. I use this line to start the xserver.
sudo /opt/fdo/bin/Xati -screen 1024x768x16x60 :1 & xterm -display :1
With this line the xserver starts and displays a nice hatched
background and an X as a cursor but nothing else starts. I get this
error:
xterm -display :1
AUDIT: Thu Jan 29 21:12:18 2004: 2737 Xati: client 1 rejected from local
host
Xlib: connection to ":1.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
xterm Xt error: Can't open display: :1
Everything else sees the same error about not being able to connect to
the xserver. That is what Im asking for help with. Thank you.
