Heya folks,
Thanks for all your hard work on the FDO X server. I've recently
installed CVS from 20040119 on Fedora Core 1 using the xserver-inst2.sh
script from this mailing list, and adding the FDO X server libraries to
my ld.so.conf and re-run ldconfig.
My video card as lspci reports it:
VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV28 [GeForce4 Ti 4200 Go
AGP 8x] (rev a1)
My display is a 1680x1050 LCD monitor.
Running /opt/pkgs/fdo/bin/Xvesa from runlevel 3 directly or via GDM
fails with a segmentation fault.
Running /opt/pkgs/fdo/bin/Xnvidia from runlevel 3 directly or via GDM
fails with a "No matching card found!" message.
This might be a really simple basis for this problem, but I've been
unable to locate documentation of the configuration file currently used
by FDO X server (maybe it doesn't use one yet, but I'm not sure) and
whether it needs a seperate font server (and where an FDO X server
compatible font server would live, or if i should be able to use my
existing xfs).
Thanks again, and any help much appreciated.
Mike
