With xcompmgr running, XChat 2.4.0 seems very buggy in terms of display. The text is opaque with my selected background colour, while what should be my background color is totally transparent (see attachment). Mozilla Firefox also seems quite buggy as well - scrolling seems to mess up the text in the window totally. However, I cannot acquire a screenshot of this, as changing windows fixes the problem. I'm using the ATI closed-source fglrx drivers. I will attach my xorg.conf.

Could you retest with current CVS? While this doesn't look exactly like bugs fixed recently, it could be related. Thanks!
I updated my CVS last night and it doesn't seem to fix anything. I'm going to test with the vesa and radeon drivers and see if I have issues with them.
XChat2 and Mozilla Firefox work fine with the generic Radeon drivers and Composite - it would seem to be a bug with the fglrx closed source drivers.
Any improvements using a more current version of the fglrx driver?

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
We don't fix fglrx report elsewhere.
