Description Joe Jezak 2004-10-02 04:55:34 UTC
OpenGL applications on a PowerPC system running Gentoo with Xorg 6.8.1 cause
immediate hardlocks. The same configuration worked fine with Xorg 6.7. Please
see the Gentoo bugzilla bug referenced for more details. If I can provide any
other information or help tracking down the bug, feel free to ask.

I'm getting the same result on PC hardware. Using a Radeon 9600SE with the
fglrx driver. I get a hardlock as soon as I execute fgl_glxgears.

This is also on a Gentoo system, but using X.org 6.8.0.

Believed to be fixed by Ian Romanick on 2004-10-17.

Just as a follow-up, after updating my copy of xorg 6.8 with the mesa 6.2
branch, this problem is fixed. Thanks!
